IOGCC Ready to Play Leadership Role in EPA Hydraulic Fracturing Study

April 2010 (IOGCC) On behalf of the nation’s 38 oil and natural gas producing states, the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission (IOGCC) stepped forward to lead as one of the most prominent stakeholders in the hydraulic fracturing study.

In March 2010, the IOGCC submitted written comments to the Office of Research and Development that entailed the commission’s Survey of States regarding Hydraulic Fracturing; several testimonies from IOGCC representatives; State Resolutions on Hydraulic Fracturing; and several other documented research projects.

The information documents the states’ long-time involvement in the process of regulating hydraulic fracturing and their unwavering commitment to environmental protection.
