"While the existing 3500 miles of CO2 pipelines is considered mature, the build out requirements for a CO2 pipeline infrastructure would be on the scale of the existing natural gas infrastructure of 45,000 miles. Given this leap in the magnitude of infrastructure, the same of level of attention is required in developing transportation infrastructure as required for other CCS components.
