U.S. Environmental Protection Agency To Announce $4 Million For Brownfields

October 14, 2010 (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency). U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will announce Friday it is awarding $4 million in assistance to 23 communities - including Cleveland, Ohio - to develop area-wide plans for the reuse of brownfields properties.

IOGCC to offer Brownfields Funding Training as part of Annual Meeting in Tucson

October 13, 2010 (IOGCC). The IOGCC, in partnership with the US EPA, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, and Chesapeake Energy, will be offering a special Brownfields Funding Workshop as part of its Annual Meeting in Tucson on November 16th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Virginians asked to help find old oil, gas wells

February 24, 2010 (Big Stone Gap). The Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy is asking Southwest Virginia residents to help the agency locate, plug and clean up old, abandoned gas and oil wells.

Big South Fork to plug 45 abandoned wells
